HJC were asked to collaborate with Tynetec’s NPD team in the development of their new wrist worn fall detector. HJC delivered a compact, discrete and elegant fall detector that provides all the product features and user requirements needed in a fall detector.
Tynetec is a long standing client of HJC Design that consistently delivers award winning products within the social care & assisted living sector, having worked closely with Tynetec for over a decade to help bring numerous product ranges to market across Europe.
HJC’s staged design process presented a range of concepts early in the development phase to showcase potential key features and establish critical points of functionality.
The importance of these features led to the creation of numerous prototypes to physically assess form, fit and functionality. This comprehensive prototype phase permitted a strong and clear ‘hands on’ understanding of each concept for the whole development team, aiding further user centred refinement of the range.
